Nong Khiaw (ຫນອງຂຽວ) is a traveller’s haven in the truest sense, offering pampering, good food, decent accommodation and bags of activities with established adventure-tour operators. Nestled on the west bank of the Nam Ou (the river almost currentless since the building of the dam upstream), spanned by a vertiginous bridge and bookended by towering limestone crags, it’s surely one of the most photogenic spots in Laos.
